Get the Element app
You may use the web version or you may download the app.
Sign in to your Matrix account
Depending on what device you’re using, the steps may vary.
Web: Enter your username and password, and you should be good to go!
Mobile:
Click on “I already have an account”. When the option comes to “Select a server”, click on “Sign in with Matrix ID”. Then, type in your full matrix ID, (e.g. @adriel:rown.eu.org). The Matrix ID is in the form of @<username>:<domain>. After that, you should be good to go!
Bridge your accounts
To bridge to one of the services listed below, start a new chat with @<servicename>bot:rown.eu.org. The bot will then guide you in how to bridge your accounts.
Instagram:
Start a new chat with @instagrambot:rown.eu.org. Type help to show commands. Then type login <username> <password>.
Signal:
Start a new chat with @signalbot:rown.eu.org Type help to show commands. Then type link. The bot will send you a QR code for you to scan from your Signal app on your phone. To scan the QR code, go to Signal > Settings > Linked devices > Add new device.
Telegram:
Start a new chat with @telegrambot:rown.eu.org Type help to show commands. Then, type login to get instructions in how to login.
WhatsApp:
Start a new chat with @whatsappbot:rown.eu.org Type help to show commands. Then, type login. The bot will send you a QR code for you to scan from your WhatsApp app on your phone. To scan the QR code, go to WhatsApp > Linked Devices > Link a New Device.
